Six Sentence Sunday – NaNo week 1

More than six sentences, but I like this part. 🙂

She faced him full on, hands on her hips. Her panties dangled from one hand. “What part of ‘that thing’s out there’ do you not understand?”

“The part that says you have to go after it when you’re hurt.”

“If I don’t, Niakon, who will? You?”

He was taken aback. “Yes. If I have to.”

“Oh please,” she scoffed, stepping into her underwear with a wince. “The street sweeper will be cleaning you up as quanlier shit by tomorrow.” A bra was definitely out of the question. “What happened to my bra last night?”

Niakon disappeared into her closet, coming back out with one shoulder strap and two cups. The rest of the band dangled from the hook closure.

“Damn. I liked that one, too.” She drew a simple grey shirt over her head.
